The theme of our retreat is play. Play is an act that helps us to enjoy the gift of life.
In Indian philosophy, the concept of play is found in the term Lila, which in Sanskrit means divine or cosmic play.
It is a concept that describes the playful and spontaneous nature of creation, a manifestation of pure joy, love and freedom that makes us all co-creators.
Play is the first way in which we learn about life, it has been in us since we were children but as we grow up we tend to forget about it.
As we grow older, our playful nature is overshadowed by rules of behaviour, pushed aside by our ego and eventually takes a back seat to our attempts to live up to how others see us, to expectations and criticisms.
It is all too easy to take things too seriously, perhaps more seriously than necessary. Come to this retreat to bring out the inner child that lies in the hearts of all of us and sees everything as a big playground, ready to explore, join in the play and discover everything life has to offer. Let's remember to keep things light, to try and fail without caring how we look, because we can try again.
The Retreat is for all levels of practitioners.
